Registering with Scouts BSA Hong Kong Troop 1
Scouts BSA Hong Kong Troop 1, a membership division of the Boy Scouts of America, has been available in Hong Kong since 1967. Our program is for boys who have completed the fifth grade and are at least 10 years old, or who are between the ages of 11 and 18 years old. Candidates are not required to have earned the Arrow of Light Award to be able to join our program.
The program achieves the Scout BSA's objectives of developing character, citizenship, and personal fitness. Service, community engagement and leadership development are increasingly important parts of the program as youth lead their own activities and work their way toward earning Scouting’s highest rank, Eagle Scout.

How to Join Troop 1
Scouts BSA Hong Kong Troop 1 registration is now open for 2023-24. For information on how to join Troop 1 please read the information on this page.
We invite you to attend one of our meetings to see our Troop in action. Troop-wide meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month during the evening, for upcoming meeting see our calendar. Patrol meetings are held at the discretion of each patrol. To join a patrol meeting please email our Scoutmaster at scoutmaster@hongkongtroop1.org, who will put you in contact with an Assistant Scoutmasters for one of our patrols to work out the details.

Please find your required forms by scrolling down to the Required Forms section where we have added all downloadable forms. We will need ALL of these forms:
Scouts BSA Hong Kong Troop 1 Registration Checklist.
Scouts BSA Youth Application Form.
Scouts BSA Annual Health and Medical Record Form (Parts A & B required, part C needs to be filled if you want to participate in events exceeding 72 hours)
Scouts BSA Release Form (Required yearly)
Scouts BSA Troop 1 Hong Kong Registration and Emergency Contacts (this is included in the Google Form)
Troop Resource Survey
Payment in cash or PayMe will be accepted only. Please contact our Treasurer, Jeff Peck at treasurer@hongkongtroop1.org if you have questions about registration payment.
**Scouts BSA Hong Kong Troop 1 Uniform Required items include: tan official scout shirt, official green scout pants, merit badge sash, official green scout socks and class B t-shirt. Please go to our Uniform Procurement information page and check for available items in Hong Kong. If you find what you need in o ur inventory, please follow the directions on how to place your order with Scouting BSA Troop 1 Hong Kong. For uniform required items not available in our Hong Kong store please visit the Scouts BSA US website to place your order directly with Scouts BSA US.
Once you have submitted all the forms listed above via our registration link, please email our our Registrar, Iantha Scheiwe to get your registration confirmation at registrar@hongkongtroop1.org .
